-I’m Tessa-

Hi I would like to introduce myself, I  am Tessa, I’m a mum of two school aged children, a partner to Sol, a Mobile Nanny, a Childminder, Diploma Qualified Educator and I see myself as a nurturing, kind, calm and playful creative.

I live in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, surrounded by paddocks, nature and bush, I wake up to chirping birds most mornings and can sometimes spot a koala in the gumtrees. 

I founded Calmplay back in January 2022, after working in busy childcare centres and running a small business creating wooden, children’s décor and selling online and at markets it was time to follow my passion for caring for children on more of a mindful, meaningful path. 

I am so grateful to be able to call this my job, sometimes the work that I do doesn’t feel like work, I have loved connecting with different people, meeting families who all have a story to tell. 

All children are different and my journey has been a lot more purposeful being part of families lives, nannying is such a personal job and to care for children in their mindful playground has given me more of an understanding and appreciation for building relationships and holding on to my values which is family connections, building trust and advocating for play in families homes. 

I offer Nannying and Child-Minding services to lots of different families in Adelaide Hills and pride myself on being professional, compassionate, fun, engaging and I will always bring a basket of goodies with me which the children are always curious of. 

I have created a new service for calmplay which is
childminding at weddings and accommodations for clients, including clients from interstate attending special events.
